18U Team Headed to Connie Mack World Series

The 18U team is 40-5 and will be heading to Farmington, New Mexico after defeating the Longshots Teal 6-4 to win the Battle Creek North Central Region Championship. The AABC Connie Mack World Series is the most prestigious World Series in the country and this year marks the 50th Anniversary. The ten teams that are playing in the World Series all had to qualify. Zack McGuire named 2014 Mr. Baseball!!!

Zack McGuire from the (Maloney) 18U Stars team and Stevenson HS was named Mr. Baseball this year for excellence on the field during the high school baseball season.

18U Stars Win USSSA great Lakes Elite Tourney

The 18U Detroit Metro Stars (Maloney) team went 6-0 to win the USSSA Great Lakes Elite Tourney. They also were Runners-up in the Great Black Swamp Tourney and the Pastime Kalamazoo Freedom Klassic Tourney at WMU. They were 5-1 in the Pastime Great Lakes Tournament of Champions and were the top seed before falling in the quarterfinals. The team is having a great season and they are currently 10-0 in MABF league play.

Grant Reuss Drafted by Detroit Tigers in 31st Round!!!

Congrats to Grant Reuss from the 18U Stars (Maloney Team) for being drafted. Grant graduated from Cranbrook Kingswood HS and made All-State this season. Grant will attend the University of Michigan on a baseball scholarship.

2014 13U Coach Agemy Firecracker Invitational Champs

Congratulations to the 13U Coach Agemy team for winning the Firecracker Classic held at Liberty Park in Sterling Heights Michigan on July 4, 2014. The stars finish the tournament undefeated with a 5-0 record. They also led the tournament by scoring a total of 76 runs in 5 games. Good job boys.
